This summer HOMEY took on a consulting project for Men Overcoming Violence (MOVE) to interview young people about violence in their relationships. HOMEY interviewed close to one hundred young people about their experiences with dating violence. The project was organized by Julia Sabori,Sam Lippman and Ernesto Rocha. The groups were facilitated by Anthony Sharp and Ernesto Rocha. MOVE came to HOMEY to lead this project because of our connection with the the youth in the city and our ability to break down complex issues such as dating violence. The focus groups were informative and inspirational to everyone involved as we brainstormed ways in which youth programs can foster healthy relationships in our young people. HOMEY is currently preparing a report of our findings for MOVE.
